Dr. Adam Brown, Professor in the Department of Psychology at Sarah Lawrence College and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Research Program in the Department of Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine, will give a lecture titled "Identifying and Managing Trauma, Loss and Resilience." This event will focus on stress, trauma, vicarious trauma, and resilience among individuals working in the human rights context and the impact of human rights work on mental health. Co-sponsored by the International Human Rights Clinic, Center for International and Comparative Law, Duke Human Rights Center at the Kenan Institute for Ethics, Duke Human Rights Center at the Franklin Humanities Institute, International Law Society, Human Rights Law Society and Veterans Assistance Project. Lunch will be provided.
