Leading investors discuss global credit crunch at Duke Law, Dec. 2

On Dec. 2, Duke Law School will convene a panel of leading investors to assess the current state of the global economy and look at the role of private equity and sovereign funds going forward.

The event will get underway at 6:30 p.m. in room 3041 at Duke Law School. It is free and open to members of the Duke University community.

Panelists include Gao Xiqing '86, Vice Chairman, President and Chief Investment Officer of the China Investment Corporation; John A. Canning Jr. '69, Chairman of Madison Dearborn Partners; Tony E. James, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Blackstone Group; and David Rubenstein T’70, co-founder and managing director of The Carlyle Group. James D. Cox, Duke’s Brainerd Currie Professor of Law will moderate the discussion.

Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is available in the Gross Chemistry lot, across from the Law School on Towerview Road. The event will be webcast at http://www.law.duke.edu/webcast/.
