Sean Andrussier ’92 has returned to private practice at Womble Bond Dickinson in Raleigh after 13 years at Duke Law, where he was a clinical professor of law and director of the Appellate Litigation Clinic. He rejoins the business litigation group, where he worked for a decade before his academic career, co-chairing the firm’s appellate group.

Michelle Park Chiu JD/LLM '06 will be honored as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champion at Corporate Counsel’s 2022 Women, Influence and Power in Law awards dinner on Oct. 18 in Washington, D.C. Chiu is a partner at Morgan Lewis in San Francisco, where she focuses her practice on antitrust law and is co-leader of the firm's Asian American/Asian Lawyer Network and co-leader of its Conversations on Privilege and Anti-Racism Working Group.

Eva Guzman MJS '14 is joining Wright Close & Barger as a partner in Houston. Guzman served as a justice on the Texas Supreme Court from 2009 to 2021. Prior to that, she was a justice on the Texas 14th Court of Appeals and a Harris County District Court judge.

Yendelela Holston ’06 will be honored as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champion at Corporate Counsel’s 2022 Women, Influence and Power in Law awards dinner on Oct. 18 in Washington, D.C. Holston is a partner at Kilpatrick Townsend in Atlanta, where she focuses her practice on labor and employment law and is the firm’s chief diversity and inclusion officer.

Charles Larsen ’01 has joined the Boston and London offices of McDermott Will & Emery as a partner in its intellectual property practice. Larsen is both a U.S. patent lawyer and English solicitor and provides clients with transatlantic counsel in patent portfolio strategy and transactions, with a particular emphasis in medical technology. He joins McDermott from White & Case.

Jessica Millett JD/LLM ’06 has joined Hogan Lovells’ New York office in its corporate and finance practice group. Previously she was chair of the tax practice at the boutique firm Duval & Stachenfeld. Millett focuses her practice on U.S. tax issues that arise in complex real estate transactions. She is chair of the Subcommittee for Foreign Investors of the ABA Tax Section Real Estate Committee.

Kristopher Moldovan ’97 was appointed chief financial officer of Vistra, an Irving, Texas, based electricity and power generation company. Moldovan has been with Vistra and its predecessor companies since 2006, most recently serving as senior vice president and treasurer. Prior to joining the company, he was an attorney with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Dallas.

Daniel Rice '15 has joined the faculty of the University of Arkansas School of Law. Rice was a visiting assistant professor at Duke Law for the 2020-2021 academic year. Prior to that, he was an attorney at the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at the Georgetown University Law Center. An enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation, Rice's research focuses primarily on constitutional law and Indian law.

Laurie Sanders ’94 has joined Fox Rothschild’s San Francisco office in its corporate department. Sanders serves as outside general counsel, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, venture capital financings, private equity transactions, succession planning, and corporate governance. She was formerly at Wendel Rosen.

Jacquelyn Sumer JD/LLM ’03 joined Cullinan Oncology as chief legal officer. The Cambridge, Mass., based biopharmaceutical company develops therapeutics for patients with cancer. Most recently, Sumer served as chief legal and compliance officer at Genocea Biosciences. Prior to that, she was vice president, assistant general counsel at Bristol Myers Squibb.
