Sept. 30, 2008 — Professor Neil Vidmar’s latest book, American Juries: The Verdict, will be the focus of a conference for practitioners, jury consultants, and academics at the Suffolk University Law School in Boston on Oct. 24. Vidmar, the Russell M. Robinson III Professor of Law, will speak at the conference, as will his co-author, Professor Valerie Hans of Cornell Law School.

“Vidmar and Hans’ new book is a magisterial review of the past half-century of empirical research on the American jury system testing anecdote against data,” according to the publicity materials for the conference, titled “Successful Strategies for Jury Trials.” For more information, visit www.law.suffolk.edu/academic/ALS/coursedetail.cfm?cid=618.
