Mr. Shane Harris, senior correspondent at The Daily Beast, will discuss his book @War: The Rise of the Military-Internet Complex. His book discusses how the United States military currently views cyberspace as the "fifth domain" of warfare, and the DOD, the NSA, and CIA all field teams of hackers who can, and do, launch computer virus strikes against enemy targets. He won the New York Public Library's Helen Bernstein Award for Excellence in Journalism for his first book, The Watchers. His work has appeared in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Slate, National Journal, The Washington Post, and many other media outlets.
