Earn $5,000 this summer through the Stanback Internship Program, which exclusively places Duke students with employers nationwide for summer internships. Learn where to find postings, how to apply, and the hiring process. Students gain hard legal skills transferrable to many practice areas. Placement organizations focus on environmental issues and provide experience in complex civil litigation, administrative law, policy, in-house counsel work, and legislative/government affairs work. Neither prior environmental experience or interest in practicing environmental law is necessary; many former Stanback interns go on to work in private law their second summer and after graduation, or in other government or public interest issues areas.
