Work After the End of Employment

March 22, 2019 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3041

The labor market is on the cusp of a major change. What will happen to employees as machines begin to substitute humans for labor? How do employment laws protect gig economy workers such as Uber drivers? In a world of limited federal law enforcement, how can workers organize? Please join Law & Contemporary Problems for the lunch panel portion of the annual L&CP symposium. The event will be moderated by Professor Katharine Bartlett, and will feature Sanjukta Paul, Marshall Steinbaum, Cynthia Estlund, Sameer Ashar, and Michael Oswalt. The panelists will discuss how labor and employment law will change in the face of the quickly evolving labor market. Lunch will be served. Please contact Sam Berman at samuel.berman@lawnet.duke.edu or Rui Ke at ruijia.ke@lawnet.duke.edu with questions.
