Public Service Celebration & Auction
The PILF Celebration & Auction is an annual cocktail party fundraiser that draws high levels of participation among students, faculty, staff and alumni. By donating and bidding on a wide range of both silent and live auction items, the entire Law School community comes together for this popular event in order to support students engaged in summer public interest internships.

The PILF Celebration & Auction is an annual cocktail party fundraiser that draws high levels of participation among students, faculty, staff and alumni. This year, for the first time, the celebration, which is also the kick-off for Duke Law Family Weekend, will recognize the public service achievements of the law school community, including recognition of selected alumni. By donating and bidding on a wide range of both silent and live auction items, the entire Law School community comes together to support students engaged in unpaid summer public interest internships. The items at auction will be donations solicited by PILF throughout the year from law firms, local businesses, faculty, students, and alumni. Popular items have included a law school parking lot pass, vacation time shares, Duke Basketball paraphernalia or game tickets, dinners with professors, guitar lessons, and climbing trips.

Would you like to place a proxy bid for an auction item? This offer is only available to Duke Law alumni, faculty, and staff.
If interested, please email PILFauctionproxy@law.duke.edu with the following information: your name, silent auction or live auction, item number and brief description, maximum bid amount, and preferred email and phone number. Proxy bids are accepted until Noon EST on Friday, February 14th.
A student volunteer will respond to your email to confirm that we have received your bid. If you win an item, you will be contacted soon after the auction for payment and pick-up instructions.
