Final Exam Scheduling Conflicts
Each student should review the final examination schedule posted on the Law School website for scheduling conflicts. A final examination scheduling conflict occurs when:
There is a direct conflict in the scheduling of final examinations in two or more courses in which the student is enrolled.
The student is enrolled in three or more courses, each carrying more than one hour of credit, for which examinations are schedule within a 36-hour period over two calendar days. In such circumstances, the examination to be rescheduled shall be the middle examination.
(Law School Rule 3-16(2)(b) and (c)).
Examinations that qualify for rescheduling under this rule will be rescheduled for the next available time that does not create a new conflict under this rule, which may be on a weekend or a date after the official close of the reading and examination period. No examination shall be rescheduled for a time prior to the regularly scheduled examination. (Law School Rule 3-16(2)(d)). In light of the examination rescheduling policy, students should schedule travel for the winter or summer break to begin on a date after the end of the reading and examination period.
Students who have a scheduling conflict must complete the Request to Reschedule Examination form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar, Room 2027.
