709.01 Lawyering Amongst Contemporary Developments in Securities and Corporate Law

This seminar focuses on a variety of current issues in securities and corporate law. A unifying theme across the diverse topics covered in this seminar is how the professional navigates through issues that at times conflict with the lawyer’s sense of appropriate conduct. In making this journey we study the close connection between law and the transactions that populate commerce. The specific subjects to be covered in the seminar are both emerging and revealing of how and why commercial law evolves as it has.
