Gabriela Nagle Alverio, JD '25 PhD ’26 says that after attending her third UN Climate Change Conference, she's more committed than ever to expanding legal protections for those affected by climate change. Gabriela co-led Duke's student delegation to COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and says meeting people from all over the world who are incredibly passionate about climate change and are taking action to mitigate its effects gives her hope for the future of climate advocacy.
