Empirical Training Workshop
Bernsten Classroom in the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University
Thursday, November 17, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
This workshop, conducted by Professors Michael Heise, Martin Wells, and Dawn Chutkow, is intended for professors and students who seek an introduction to the statistical skills needed to conduct quantitative empirical legal research. No prior training in statistics or in statistical programming is required or assumed.
For those interested, as background reading, we suggest Alan C. Acock, A Gentle Introduction to Stata (Revised Fifth Edition 2016), which is available from the Stata bookstore online.
The workshop is an optional event - please note that it takes place the day BEFORE the CELS conference starts. The workshop will be held at the law school.
The workshop requires advance registration and a registration fee of $100 in addition to CELS 2016 registration. Attendees must also become SELS members if they are not already, which is required as part of registering for the conference.
For additional information please contact Dawn Chutkow (dmc66@cornell.edu).
Registration is closed at this time.
