Hetali Lodaya
Lecturing Fellow, Legal Writing

Hetali Lodaya is an adjunct professor teaching U.S. Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing, Advanced Legal Writing for International Students. She works on recruitment and professional development at Legal Aid of North Carolina, managing summer intern, volunteer, and fellowship programs. She was previously a staff attorney with Legal Aid's Right to Education Project, which she joined as an Equal Justice Works Fellow. Her professional interests are at the intersection of civil rights law, policy, and public education work, exploring the ways we can make our public school systems work better for all. Prior to that she clerked for the Hon. Terrence G. Berg on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. 

Lodaya graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with degrees in Chemistry and Public Policy, and from the University of Michigan with a JD/MA in Educational Studies. She is a member of the North Carolina bar as well as the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) NC Chapter.
