Andrew Willinger is the Executive Director of the Duke Center for Firearms Law. He writes and teaches on the Second Amendment, gun regulation, and the emerging use of history and tradition in constitutional cases.
Andrew has been quoted and interviewed by CNN, NPR, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, among other media outlets. His scholarship has been published by the Washington University Law Review and the Duke Law Journal Online, and is forthcoming in the Notre Dame Law Review. Andrew also writes regularly for the Center’s blog, Second Thoughts.
Andrew previously worked as a commercial litigation associate at Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler LLP and clerked for the Honorable William L. Osteen, Jr. of the Middle District of North Carolina. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Duke Law School in 2016.
