Ashley works with students and alumni, especially those interested in private practice.  Before joining Duke Law, Ashley practiced for seven years as an associate with the law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Washington, DC.  Her practice focused on complex litigation matters, with an emphasis on white collar defense, government investigations, and whistleblower cases.  Ashley received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, and her B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University (Trinity, ’07).
