Ashley Nagy
Career Counselor

As a career counselor with nearly 25 years of experience in higher education, Ashley provides comprehensive guidance for law students navigating their private sector job search. While earning her J.D. magna cum laude as a part-time evening student at William Mitchell College of Law, she worked on the admissions team and discovered a passion for working directly with students and representing institutions.

Throughout her career, Ashley worked at multiple universities in admissions roles, including JD and LLM programs, making decisions that shaped incoming classes and bringing strategic thinking to institutional needs. Prior to joining the law school, she spent several years at Duke's Fuqua School of Business, where she developed recruitment strategies for MBA programs and deepened her understanding of Duke's unique culture and what drives student success.

Ashley was drawn to career services because she wanted to be part of students' defining professional moments - helping them discover their strengths, articulate their value, and make strategic career decisions. In her current role, she develops programming initiatives that enhance the student experience and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to improve career outcomes for the entire Duke Law community.
