Andrew Willinger
Executive Director, Center for Firearms Law

Andrew Willinger is the Executive Director of the Duke Center for Firearms Law. He writes and comments on Second Amendment decisions and issues related to firearms law. Andrew has been quoted and interviewed by CNN, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, among other outlets, and his scholarship is forthcoming in the Washington University Law Review.

Prior to joining the Center in 2022, Andrew was a litigation associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler in New York. From 2018 to 2019, he clerked for Judge William L. Osteen, Jr. of the Middle District of North Carolina. Andrew graduated from Duke Law School in 2016, where he was a staff editor for the Duke Law Journal. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in government and Asian studies from Dartmouth College.
