What does Duke Law look like? We look like the world.

Our students come from around the country and around the globe and they bring some delicious flavors with them. At Food Fest, held during International Week, every story, every recipe, every culture gets a seat at the table(s).

Twenty-six teams/cooks representing 24 countries and regions competed in five categories, offering dishes ranging from Pakistani Paratha Rolls (chicken, yogurt and green chilli paste rolled in flatbreads), Tarta Cremosa Vasca (crustless creamy cheesecake) from Spain to Ais el Saraya (cream-top bread pudding with orange blossom water and pistachios) from the Middle East/North Africa.

The U.S., represented by American Football fare (including hot, spicy wings, of course), held its own against platters of spicy Goat Jollof Rice from Ghana, Thai Green Curry, and Chicken Tagine from Tunisia, among many others. It was a glorious multicolor, multi-flavored, food extravaganza.
