40-Hour North Carolina Superior Court Mediation Training Program
Are you interested in mediating cases in North Carolina Superior Court? Would you like to learn mediation skills & techniques while earning 24 hours (2 full years) of CLE credit? Join us at Duke Law School for our next in-person 40-hour Superior Court Mediation Training Program approved by the NC Dispute Resolution Commission.
Who should attend
- Anyone who wants to learn mediation skills! Whether you wish to become a certified mediator in North Carolina Superior Court and need to satisfy the 40-hour training requirement, or you are an attorney who would like to better understand the mediation process, or you are an individual who is interested in learning mediation techniques for any other professional or personal reason, this program is for you!

- Training runs daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Conflict resolution, negotiation & mediation theory

- Standards of conduct for mediators
- Rules governing mediated settlement conferences in North Carolina
- How to conduct remote mediations using Zoom technology
- The perspectives of the mediator, the attorney, and the client in simulated mediation exercises
