Students and Applicants With Disabilities

Main Content

Receiving accommodations is a two-step process. First, you must be granted accommodations by the Student Disability Access Office (SDAO). Go to their website to begin the process.

Second, once SDAO has granted your accommodations, you will need to meet with the Law School's Disability Services Liaison, Assistant Director of Accessibility and Wellness Services, Sharise Jones-Lacewell. At this meeting, you will gain an understanding of how accommodations are implemented in the law school. If you have been granted accommodations by SDAO, you should make an appointment with Sharise Jones-Lacewell at your earliest convenience.

To receive accommodations for exams, students must complete both steps of the accommodations process at least 30 days prior to the last day of class (Monday, March 16th, for Spring 2026).

If you have further questions about disability accommodations at Duke Law School, please contact Sharise Jones-Lacewell.
