On August 4th 2020, one of the world's biggest explosions took place in the capital city of Lebanon, Beirut. A very large part of the city was destroyed, leaving many homeless and displaced. In her recent documentary, Lebanese director Fadia Ahmad takes us through the streets of Beirut one month after the blast. In "Beirut: The Aftermath," she documents the devastation and the reconstruction efforts that took place in the city. The Middle East Graduate Seminar, in collaboration with the Middle Eastern and North African Law Students Association, DUMESC, and AMES, will be screening the documentary at the Bryan Center Griffith Film Theater.
