Professor Culp, the first tenured professor of color at Duke Law, was a leading figure in Critical Race Theory and LatCrit Theory. This year's lecture will be delivered by Mario Barnes, Chancellor's Professor of Law at UC Irvine School of Law. This lecture honors Professor Culp's legacy by using critical theory to examine contemporary legal challenges.
