Please join CLAPS for a Child Welfare 101, to learn about how the child welfare of family regulation system functions in the U.S. generally as well as in North Carolina. During this event we will be joined by Crystal Grant and Peggy Nicholson, the two professors leading the Duke Children's Law Clinic. We will also be joined by Christine Umeh, a Duke Law alumna, who is the Family Defense Practice Leader at Still She Rises. In addition, we will hear from CLAPS board members who will discuss why they chose to be involved in the club, what they hope to accomplish with this semester, and upcoming opportunities for students to get involved.
