Clemency Project Information Session

September 15, 2022 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4055

Join us for an information session on the Clemency Project at Duke Law. The Clemency Project is dedicated to preparing clemency petitions on behalf of people incarcerated in North Carolina who have demonstrated rehabilitation warranting a sentence commutation. Student volunteers are assigned cases that meet preliminary screening requirements. Volunteers review incarceration records and have an opportunity to work directly with clients. If all requirements for assistance are met, the volunteers work with a supervisor to submit a petition to Governor Cooper's office for clemency. Sponsored by The Clemency Project.
