Corporate Law at an International Law Firm: Developing a Global Practice

Shearman & Sterling LLP cordially invites Duke Law students to a lunchtime panel to learn more about the practice of law at an international law firm. This panel of lawyers from Shearman & Sterling LLP brings together top professionals and Duke Law alumni, each with a unique cross-border corporate practice. The panel includes Ali Hassanali, an associate in the Project Development and Finance group with a focus in Africa and Latin America, Erica Kassman (L'14) an associate in the Capital Markets group with a focus in Latin America, and Arjun Chandran (T'12, L'15) an associate in the Antitrust group with a focus in multi-jurisdictional M&A. The panel will discuss broad concepts in domestic and cross-border corporate practices as well as why they chose their fields and what it really means to have a global corporate practice at an international law firm.
