Crafting Your North Carolina Narrative: A Workshop

April 06, 2022 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4045

The North Carolina Club is hosting a workshop for students interested in practicing law in North Carolina after graduation. Because some North Carolina employers might assume that Duke Law grads are more interested in practicing out of state, students interested in North Carolina frequently hear that having a good narrative or ties to the state is important. This event will bring students and North Carolina practitioners together to facilitate developing a "good" narrative. We'll talk about what ties are worth mentioning, how and when to mention them, and how you can develop additional ties. While the event will begin with a short presentation, the idea is to break into groups for discussion and personalized feedback. Sponsored by the North Carolina Club.
