Current Status of Abortion in North Carolina
October 27, 2022 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3041
Join If/When/How for a panel discussing the current status of abortion in North Carolina with Professor Jolynn Dellinger, Dr. Beverly Gray, and Suzanne Buckley. Professor Dellinger focuses on the ways that abortion intersects with privacy (physical, decisional, and informational) and the ways that commercial surveillance and surveillance by law enforcement will make privacy inaccessible to many in a post-Dobbs environment. Dr. Beverly Gray is the founder of Duke Reproductive Health Equity and was one of the plaintiffs in a recent civil action challenging the North Carolina 20-week abortion ban. Suzanne Buckley is the former Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice North Carolina and former Deputy Director of New Venture Fund, where she executed over 200 strategic communications campaigns on abortion. Contact Hannah.kanter@duke.edu with questions. Lunch will be served - please RSVP here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd0jk63QbY--7PIR8RQ-tW0KiMy7l_….
