Don't Talk to the Police
September 01, 2022 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3043
What should you do if you are stopped by the police? What are your rights as a U.S. citizen? Should you even talk to the police? Join us for a discussion with Professor James Duane from Regent University School of Law and Duke Law's Professor Brandon Garrett. The two will discuss the nature of citizen-police interactions and the importance of the 5th Amendment. Lunch will be provided. Sponsored by the Federalist Society, the American Constitution Society, Duke Law ACLU and the Wilson Center for Science and Justice. For more information, please contact Tom Fogarty at tmf33@duke.edu.
