Join Professor Marin Levy for a celebration of her forthcoming book, Written and Unwritten: The Rules, Internal Procedures, and Customs of the United States Courts of Appeals (publisher description at https://duke.is/v/dmzq. The new title, co-authored with Judge Jon O. Newman of the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, is the first to offer an inside look at the operations of the thirteen U.S. Courts of Appeals through in-depth interviews and surveys with Chief Judges and Clerks of Court about their practices and customs. Professor Jon Petkun will moderate the discussion. Boxed lunch will be served for attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Co-sponsored by the Goodson Law Library and Office of the Dean.
