First Monday Photo Campaign - Tell the Senate to do its job!

September 27, 2016 • 12:00 PM • Law School Star Commons

When the Supreme Court term officially begins on "First Monday," October 3rd, it will be the first time in history that a vacancy spans two terms. The Court decides cases that determine who can vote, who can marry, who has access to abortion, and who has clean water to drink and clean air to breathe. These issues and many more are at stake, and are jeopardized by the obstruction of Chief Judge Merrick Garland's nomination to the Court. Across the country, people are taking photos with personalized signs telling the world why they need the Senate to do its job and fill the empty chair. We're helping Alliance for Justice put the photos together in a national display and online campaign released around the first day of the Supreme Court's term. Come stop by our table, take a picture and share why having a full and functioning Supreme Court is important to you, and get a free cookie! Sponsored by If/When/How.
