The Environmental Health Scholars Program at Duke University is pleased to announce its 2016 Fall Forum, "Health and the Environment in North Carolina." The Forum will be held at the 21c Museum Hotel in downtown Durham (111 Corcoran Street, Durham). Topics to be covered include, Air Pollution and the Effects of the Clean Smokestacks Act; Risks of Coal Ash Ponds; and The Effect of CAFOs in North Carolina. The Forum's aims are to bring about changes in the environment, make new connections in the community as well as the political front, and make a change in the daily lives of North Carolina residents.
