Indigenous Communities and their Role in the Fight Against Climate Change

Join the Environmental Law Society as we host a panel event on the role of Indigenous communities in the fight against climate change and environmental destruction. Hear from Duke Professor, Dr. Ryan Emanuel, a member of the Lumbee Tribe who specializes in policy concerns related to environmental justice and tribal engagement. The panel will also feature Dr. Michelle Montgomery, a professor of American Indian Studies at University of Washington, intent on Indigenizing and decolonizing the climate justice narrative.
