Info Session: Help EDRM update its iconic e-discovery model
February 05, 2018 • 3:00 PM • Law School 4049
EDRM is embarking on a major revision and update of the iconic EDRM - the E-Discovery Reference Model - which documents and illustrates the end-to-end e-discovery process, and student research assistants will be a key part of the process. Under the guidance of Duke Law grad Tara Emory - a former attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and now director of consulting at Driven, Inc. - students will work with teams of lawyers, judges, and e-discovery service providers to identify and research relevant changes in law, policy, and technology and to revise the model to account for those changes. In this info session, Tara will give an overview of the project, the time commitment, and the benefits. All students who are interested in learning more about e-discovery; networking with and learning from experienced lawyers, judges, and service providers around the country; and gaining valuable project management, drafting, researching, and editing experience are encouraged to come and learn more about this project. Sponsored by EDRM and the Center for Judicial Studies. For more information, please contact Melinda Vaughn at melinda.vaughn@law.duke.edu.
