An Insider's Perspective into Motion Picture Deal Making

The Duke Sports and Entertainment Law Society welcomes Kristen Baldwin to discuss the intricacies of motion picture deal-making. Ms. Baldwin will detail key terms in actor, director, writer, and rights deals for films and discuss negotiation strategies she has utilized on behalf of clients. Ms. Baldwin currently serves as a Business Affairs Executive in the Motion Picture Department at Creative Artist Agency (CAA) where she has worked for four years. CAA is a leading entertainment agency that represents many of the most well-known artists in in film, television, music, video games, theatre, and digital content. CAA is also a leader in sports, representing many of the world's top athletes and coaches. Prior to her employment at CAA, Ms. Baldwin worked in business affairs at United Talent Agency as well as in the legal department at Paramount Pictures. Lunch will be served. Sponsored by SELS.
