JD/MA in Bioethics and Science Policy Information Session
September 08, 2017 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4045
How do we govern access to gene editing technologies? How will robotics advancements impact labor policies? Should the states have the right to allow citizens to try unapproved drugs? These are just a few of the questions that students in the joint JD/MA in Bioethics and Science Policy program wrestle with in addition to traditional law school course work. Joint degree students stand out in the job market, and unique opportunities. The three-year program is administered by the Law School and the Initiative for Science & Society. Please join Science & Society's director and law professor, Nita Farahany, Deputy Director Buz Waitzkin, JD/MA Program Director Thomas Williams, and law school representatives. Lunch will be served. Sponsored by Initiative for Science & Society. Applications are due October 15th. See more information on the program and its requirements here. RSVP to marcie.george@duke.edu.
