Legal Theory and Capitalism

Jed Purdy and Justin Desautels-Stein will explore the intersections between various methodological approaches to the theorization of a capitalist political economy. These include Marxism, LPE, critical legal studies, legal sociology, and more. About thirty scholars from the US and abroad will be presenting. The Duke Law Journal and Law & Contemporary Problems will each devote a special symposium issue, publishing selected essays.
