March 28, 2024 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4047
Come hear directly from Duke Law alumni working in public interest careers with non-profits, state agencies, and the federal government. They will share how they have achieved their financial, life, and family goals on public interest salaries and workplace benefits, all while doing work that they love. Alumni will share their personal circumstances related to budgeting, salaries over time, and managing their educational debt, including how they have bought houses, saved for retirement, started families, funded vacations, provided financial assistance to family members, and paid off student loans. They will also talk about Public Service Loan Forgiveness and using Duke's LRAP. John Ahlers, the Senior Director of Financial Aid at the law school, will also be on the panel. Sponsored by the Office of Public Interest and Pro Bono, the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, and the Government and Public Service Society.
