NC Bar Foundation Open Door Fellowship Information Session
January 15, 2025 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4044
Join representatives from the North Carolina Bar Foundation (NCBF) to hear about the Open Door Fellowship. The Open Door Fellowship is a unique, competitive opportunity for North Carolina first-year JD students. Open Door Fellows gain valuable legal work experience while widening their professional networks to "open doors" and prepare them for the next steps in their legal careers. The Open Door Fellowship seeks applicants from historically excluded or under-resourced backgrounds, first-generation college students and those from disadvantaged backgrounds who are interested in practicing law in North Carolina and are enrolled full-time at an ABA-accredited North Carolina law school. Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to the NCBF's mission and values and to promoting diversity and inclusion through their activities, experiences, and leadership. Lunch to be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Foundation. For more information, please contact Sara Dowd at sdowd@ncbar.org or Ashe-Card at alison.ashe-card@law.duke.edu.
