No More Travel Bans and Double Standards: Rethinking the Constitutional Law of Immigration

April 05, 2023 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3037

Professor Ilya Somin & Professor Kate Evans will share the event to explore both progressive and conservative rationales about the pitfalls of travel bans and other political limitations on migration rights. This event makes the case for greatly narrowing the scope of federal power over immigration and eliminating double standards under which immigration restrictions are in large part exempt from individual rights constraints that apply to virtually all other exercises of federal power.
