¿ The decision to participate in OCI Segment I at the end of July is significant for GPI-focused 1Ls. Due to the large scale of the event, which focuses almost exclusively on private sector and "big law" employers, deciding whether to participate in OCI quickly becomes the flashpoint for deciding whether to pursue private sector and/or "big law" for 2L summer and post-grad or GPI. For 1Ls, this session will help you determine how OCI Segment I may or may not fit into your career goals, as well as how to weigh competing values to figure out those goals in the first place. The Career Center will review the general job search timeline for private sector and GPI 2L jobs and a panel of upper-class students will candidly share how they decided what was right for them.
