Please join us for the final event in our three-part Racial Justice Film Series: a screening of "Just Mercy." This film tells the true story of Walter McMillian, who, with the help of defense attorney Bryan Stevenson, appeals his murder conviction. The film is based on Stevenson's memoir of the same name. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Olivia Ensign, Staff Attorney at the ACLU Capital Defense Project, and Robert Singagliese, Assistant Capital Defender in the Office of the Capital Defender of North Carolina and former Equal Justice Initiative fellow in Alabama. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Anne Gordon, former capital habeas attorney and current director of the Duke Law Externship Program. Instructions for accessing the film will be announced here soon, and there will be a Q&A after the film. Sponsored by Immigrant Rights Clinic.
