Sharing Our Stories, Part II

November 16, 2023 • 5:15 PM • Law School 3043

Please join us for Sharing Our Stories Part II! Amidst all of the unrest in the world, Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian, and Muslim immigrant communities need support. This event will consist of a brief lecture by Jenny Kim (Clinical Fellow, Immigrant Rights Clinic) describing the history of MENA, South Asian and Muslim immigration in the United States, and current immigration issues affecting those communities. Then, we will present spoken word narratives from members of MENALSA, SALSA and the Muslim Law Students organization. Finally, we will host community discussion to share our experiences and how we can be supportive of these communities. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP here: https://forms.gle/DW9LTNa7wfuAo2559 Co-sponsored by MENALSA, SALSA, the Muslim Law Students Association and the Duke Immigrant and Refugee Project.
