April 05, 2022 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4042

Join Apoorva Dixit (1L) for an intimate talk and Q&A about the Bhopal Gas Tragedy-the worst industrial disaster in the world. Dixit, an immigrant and Bhopal native, returned to her hometown as a Fulbright Scholar to record the oral history of the tragedy. Using 80+ interviews and interweaving personal reflection, conversation, and narration, Dixit created a 7-part podcast called "They Knew Which Way to Run" and recently delivered a TEDx Talk at Duke. Dixit will share her experience recording this story of hope, resilience, and memory. All are welcome whether or not they have listened to the podcast. Grab-and-go Indian lunch will be provided.
