Center co-sponsors Children’s Equal Protection Symposium
On March 29, 2024, the Duke Law Center on Law, Race & Policy co-sponsored the Children’s Equal Protection Symposium. The event featured a day of panels responding to the work of Professor Catherine Smith on children's equal protection claims. Speakers included children's rights litigators at Our Children's Trust and GLAD, as well as academics focused on environmental litigation, LGBT rights, and constitutional law. The event was in co-sponsorship with the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy.
