Professor Chad Flanders of St. Louis University will discuss the litigation surrounding the 2010 U.S. Senate election in Alaska between Lisa Murkowski and Joe Miller. Prof. Flanders will describe the permissible lengths states can go to to assist voters, including providing lists of certified write-in candidates, as Alaska did in 2010. Lunch will be provided.
