AIDS Legal Project receives grant from the Mary Norris Preyer Fund

In July, trustees of the Mary Norris Preyer Fund awarded $4,000 to the AIDS Legal Project at the Duke Law School to support its work providing legal services to indigent HIV-positive clients in North Carolina. The AIDS Legal Project is an in-house clinical program at Duke Law School. Students participating in the clinic have been receiving valuable professional training and providing essential legal assistance to clients a since 1996.

"We are extremely grateful for the on-going assistance of the Mary Norris Preyer Fund," said Carolyn McAllaster, director of the AIDS Legal Project, after being notified of the grant. "The Fund has backed our work over the years and continues to do so."
