Careers in International Law: Advising Clients on Cross-border Transactions in Europe, Asia, and Latin America

Tuesday, September 26
12:30 pm | Room 4045
Duke Law School

Please join James Waters '14, an associate in the Charlotte office of Robinson Bradshaw, for a wide-ranging conversation about his work advising domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint venture transactions, private equity finance, investment transactions, and general corporate law. Waters regularly guides clients in forming international supply chains, reducing and managing legal and political risks, and navigating international compliance matters such as economic sanctions. Waters will offer advice to students interested in pursuing careers in international corporate law, as well as broader international issues. Lunch will be served. Co-sponsored by the JD/LLM Program in International and Comparative Law.
