Please join Jennifer Hillman, former World Trade Organization (WTO) Appellate Body Member, who is currently a Visiting Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, for a discussion of the past, present, and future of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in the age of Brexit. Prior to serving on what is frequently described as the “Supreme Court” of International Trade, Professor Hillman spent nine years as General Counsel at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR),where she had previously been an Ambassador and Chief Textiles Negotiator. In addition to offering remarks on TPP’s prospects in the new administration, Professor Hillman will discuss her career and offer advice to students interested in pursuing careers in international trade law in both public and private sectors.
