NCCU Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Review Symposium

N.C. Central University School of Law’s Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Review (BPLR) invites the public to attend Symposium 2010: Hot Topics and Developments in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law.

Members of the BPLR and the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Institute (BPLI), together with the N.C. Biotechnology Center are hosting the fourth symposium on Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law. We are pleased to announce that Attorney David Cade, Acting General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the keynote speaker for this year’s symposium.

The symposium is designed to address both policy considerations and business perspectives. This year, the program will have two panels composed of experienced practicing attorneys, as well as scholars who are active in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical arenas. The first panel will be a patient-focused and public-health panel. The second panel will focus on issues related to developments within science and Intellectual Property.

The symposium will be Friday, March 19, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the N.C. Biotechnology Center. Directions to the Biotechnology Center can be found at www.ncbiotech.org. Advance registration is required. Seating for the symposium is limited to 100 persons. Lunch space is limited to 65 persons and is available on a first-requested basis. A continental breakfast will be provided.
