Rebecca Hauser Lecture A Survivor Remembers 11/12

Thursday, November 12
5:30 pm | Room 3043
Duke Law School

The Human Rights Law Society is honored to invite Rebecca Hauser, a remarkable woman who was just 22 when she and her family were taken from their home in Greece to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. After a year of hard labor, she was moved to Bergen-Belsen, where she was liberated in 1945. Mrs. Hauser came to the United States in 1947 and has been volunteering with The Center for Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education of North Carolina to ensure that her experience and those like hers are never forgotten. A reception will follow on the 3rd Floor Mezzanine. Co-sponsored by the Human Rights Law Society, The Human Rights Center at the Kenan Institute for Ethics, International Law Society, Jewish Law Student Association and the International Human Rights Clinic.

Reception to follow on the Star Commons mezzanine.  For more information, please contact Eleni Bakst.
